Top Ten Stitch List
This blog is named ART NEEDLE THREAD STITCHES, and my plan is to provide lots of STITCH inspiration, along with good closeup photos, and some downloadable stitch charts.
As I write this, there are several good web resources for stitch dictionaries for canvas and surface embroidery. It is my goal to add my 2 cents to this repository, and offer a personal viewpoint.
In starting out, I asked myself, “What stitch do I want to explore first?” To help me answer that question, I made out a “Top Ten Stitch List”. Immediately, I wondered what sort of stitches are on your Top Ten List.
So, I pose this question to you. What are your ten favorite stitches? Your choices can be based on any criteria. Maybe the stitch was fun to do, or most challenging, or most useful. A stitch can be on your top ten merely because you like the way it looks, possibly you haven’t yet stitched it. Any reason what so ever; you choose.
