Getting Started<\/strong><\/p>\n

Orna Willis’<\/a>\u00a0 – \u00a0Midnight Garden<\/a> is\u00a0designed as playful garden of stitches composed of leaf stitches, eyelets, cross variations, and composite stitches with unique touches.\u00a0 This seemed like a perfect opportunity to shop the stash, but first I had to decide how to handle the canvas. The sample project is stitched on black canvas and turns out as a lovely presentation. The last time I tried stitching on black, was the LAST time – at least for now – so, I decided to do what comes naturally – paint that default Zweigart White and give it some ZING!<\/p>\n

With carnival season starting here in New Orleans, I started thinking purple and . . . sparkle. Then, after a trip to the art store where I ended up\u00a0spontaneously buying\u00a0a bottle of glitter gel medium – a\u00a0lavender glitter canvas was just inches from completion.
